My name is Greg Donaldson and I work as a Psychotherapist in Brighton and London. My private practice in both areas encompasses individual counselling & psychotherapy services, therapy with couples and trainee counsellors. My approach is integrative with a transpersonal perspective. I also offer remote skype sessions to clients who live throughout the UK and abroad.

Over the last 20 years I have worked as an actor and enjoy working with creatives of all kinds. Over the past 12 years I’ve worked closely with the NHS , training healthcare professionals in communication skills, enabling them handle complex and challenging issues.

I offer counselling in London and Brighton offering weekly 50 minute sessions.

I have full public liability insurance and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I also attend regular supervision and keep up to date with regular CPD (Continuing professional development)

Our first counselling session is an opportunity for us to meet and get to know each other. It will be a space for you to ask any questions you may have about me or the counselling process and to talk about what brings you to counselling. At the end of this session we should have a good idea as to whether we want to work together and continue with further sessions, although you may want to think it over for a few days.

Once the decision is made to continue we will establish a ‘contract’ that we both feel comfortable with. This will make clear the confidential nature of the sessions, the cancellation policy and establish our commitment to working together in regular weekly sessions. For example we may initially contract to meet for 6 weeks, to see how that works out. This may be a sufficient number of sessions or you may then decide to continue open-endedly.

In all cases the sessions are best conducted on a consistent weekly basis to gain the most out of the work together. Once we have met face to face there is also a possibility of working together via Skype sessions or telephone counselling.

I offer Psychotherapy in comfortable, private counselling rooms in Brighton and London.

After an initial consultation I am also able to offer Skype or telephone sessions at an agreed time each week. I would suggest if possible that at least one session per month would be face to face but this is sometimes not possible with clients that live abroad.
